Florida's New Remote Online Notary Option
Great and fantastic news for the generation techie! If you live in Florida, you now have the option to register as a Remote Online Notary!
Well what does that really mean?

You as a Florida Notary have the ability to now notarize documents remotely by online presentations. The Principal, (person receiving the notarization), provides the identification just like a regular signing, electronically, and then the process begins via remote online.
Now keep in mind, it is the Notary Public's responsibility to accurately verify the identity of the Principal and confirming the credentials are a key factor in performing the notarial act correctly. For the State of Florida, we have certain provisions that must be obtain before even registering to become a Remote Online Notary, and one of them is to have a Remote Online Service provider. This service also has the technology and ability to identify knowledge base authentication.
If you live in Florida that is exactly where the act must be performed. Unless you have higher ranking, then you have the choice to notary outside of the geographic area.
If you are the Principal, you are free to do as you please. However, you must ethically express in someway that you are choosing to follow and abide by Florida's statutes and law.

Its so exciting to think we have come to the age of technology ruling the world! We have the ability to make our every day online interactions valuable by making money and experiencing something brand new for our Notary business.
